Rules of conduct
- Every student is expected to be present at the morning Assembly.
- Late comers and absentees from the school will not be admitted to their respective classes without the Principal's signature on the leave note.
- Strict regularity, obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness of dress are expected from every student. Students must strictly conform to the regulations laid down in this regard.
- The wearing of school uniform is obligatory.
- Any kind of damage to school property or school premises must be made good by the student.
- No books, newspapers or periodicals may be brought to the school without the sanction of the Principal.
- No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be made without the prior permission of the Principal.
- No presents or gifts are to be made to any staff member.
- All students must carry the school diary with them daily.
- Pupils must speak English in the School premises.
- Pupils are not allowed to visit the staff-room.
- Fines may be imposed by the Principal for irregularity, indiscipline or damage to the School property.
- No student will be allowed to go home during School hours, unless a prior application is made to the Principal and sanction of the leave is made by the Principal.
- All students must attend school on the opening day after long vacations. Pupils who fail to report School on the opening day and have not given notice of their delay to the School office will have their names struck off the rolls and the vacancy caused will be duly filled. Subject to vacancies existing/arising they will be considered for re-admission
- In case of illness, a medical certificate must be produced before the child returns to the school.
- If a student continues to be absent from class for a month without intimation to the Principal or class Teacher, his or her name will be struck off the rolls and re-admission of the child will have to be made.
- No leave of absence is granted without a written application signed by the parents and only for authentic reasons. The school accepts no responsibility if a student is obliged to return home during School hours for the non-compliance of any of the rules. Mere sending of an application is not sufficient, leave has to be sanctioned.
- If a student does not have 75% attendance of the total number of working days, he will not be considered for promotion.
- Habitual lack of interest and illness, action detrimental to the discipline of the school, repeated failure in tests or examinations and insubordination are sufficient reasons, singly or together, to expel a student from the school.
- Pupils are responsible to the School authorities not for their conduct in the School but also for their general behaviour outside. Any reported or objectionable conduct on the part of the pupils makes them liable for disciplinary action.
- The Principal may punish a student in a manner suited to the offence e.g. by detention after school hours, or by expulsion from the institution, without justifying his action.
- All pupils must take part in drill and outdoor games. Students who can't do so, on grounds of health should produce a proper medical certificate.
- The school authorities do not hold themselves responsible for the loss of money, books, articles or clothing of the students.
- Any article found by a student on the school premises is to be handed over to the Principal.
- Parents are strictly forbidden to enter any class or meet any teacher during school hours without the written permission from the office. Parents are advised to meet the class teacher only when a Parents-Teachers meeting is arranged.
- The engagement of any member of the school staff as a private tutor shall not be made without the consent of the Principal.
- No teacher of the staff is permitted to give tuition two months before the examinations. Every tuition must end one month before the Final examination.
